Raymon Ashley_Instructor

Raymon Ashley began his dance training at the age of 8 years old in Fairfield, CA. He attended the University of Arizona to further his training of Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Modern, where he graduated with a BFA in Dance.

He has danced professionally with Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, David Taylor Dance Theatre, both in Denver, CO and the Mark Goodman Tap Co. in Los Angeles, CA. Fusing the ideas from his extensive training, Raymon's unique choreography is in high demand around the nation. Currently, he is a master teacher and judge for Kids Artistic Revue National Dance Competition. His exciting tap and hip-hop choreography has been seen from coast to coast. Raymon is currently residing in San Diego, CA pursuing his own dance and choreography career and is a Master Teacher with the Fusion Dance Workshop Series.

   

Sue Murray_Instructor

SUE MURRAY started dancing at age 6, studying ballet, tap, and jazz at High Steppers Studio of Dance. In order to focus on her ballet technique, she studied at various studios in the Inland Empire including the International School of Ballet in Redlands and Riverside Ballet Arts. Her summer training came from such programs as the Joffrey School of Ballet in New Your City, Ballet Pacifica in Irvine, and LINES Ballet in San Francisco. Ms. Murray has her bachelor of fine arts specializing in dance performance from the University of California, Irvine and is an alumnus of the UCI Etude ensemble, under the direction of Prof. Donald McKayle.

While in the ensemble, she was selected to perform two premiere works in Paris as part of an exchange program with the Conservatoire de Paris. Since graduation from UCI, she has performed with the Denver-based modern dance company Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble and just recently participated in the Glory of Christmas and Easter productions at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. She is also a certified Pilates instructor. Sue continues to perform professionally and enjoys sharing her love of dance with he students.

   

Rachel Sebastian_Instructor

Rachel-Sebastian-Snowqueen-Rotenberg-09Rachel Sebastian began her training in classical ballet at the age of 8. She entered into the Cecchetti method of ballet under the direction of Sylvia Palmer Zetler (National Ballet of Canada) and was awarded high commendations in her syllabus exams. By invitation, Ms. Sebastian continued her training in the professional division of the Houston Ballet Academy. In an effort to become a more versatile and well rounded dancer, she then trained at the Academy of Performing Arts (Kevin Patterson/Liam Harney, Directors).

She has danced professionally with several dance companies, production agencies, and touring groups. Ms. Sebastian has toured throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and North America as a ballet, jazz, and irish dancer. She is currently performing with the San Diego Ballet as a principal dancer. Her favorite roles include the Snow Queen (The Nutcracker), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and the Dying Swan from Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals. Other favorites include the contemporary and avant-garde works of San Diego Ballet's award winning choreographer and co-director, Javier Velasco.

   

Andrea Whittle_Instructor

ANDREA WHITTLE began dancing at the age of 5 with Rainbow Express in Norco Ca. By the age of 10 Andrea pursued her sole passion for ballet and furthered her training with Riverside Ballet Arts under the direction of Glenda Carheart.

During her nine years with Riverside Ballet Arts Andrea performed in core pieces with the California Riverside Ballet in the Nutcracker Suit, Snow Queen and Sleeping Beauty, while dancing with The California Riverside Ballet Andrea danced under the direction of choreographer David Allan. During her years of training Andrea had the unique experience of taking master classes with the Bolshoi Ballet and the School of American Ballet.

In 1994 while continuing her ballet training Andrea branched out artistically and added musical theater to her experience winning Riverside Community Plays award for best actress for her performance as Maria in Westside Story.

In 1995 in addition to her ballet training Andrea began studying modern dance, jazz and Pilates at Riverside Community College. While at RCC Andrea performed locally with RCC’s Dance Touring Ensemble performing in community events and local schools educating children and the public on the various genres of dance and dance history. In addition Andrea preformed in RCC’s yearly dance concert Celebrate Dance. In 1997 Andrea was accepted into Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle Washington to further her studies in dance.

Upon returning to California Andrea joined a small ballet company associate with RCC under the direction of Sophia Carera. In the early 2000’s Andrea began her career in teaching ballet to young students. Today Andrea’s ballet teaching emphasizes the importance of strong technique and classical training she takes pride in passing on the traditions of the classical arts working closely and consistently with each student to develop students into dancers.
